Long time, little writing

School starts on Thursday, and today i spent the whole day greeting the incoming freshman. Its nice to get more people on the team. The girls team pretty much doubled in size.

The other day I was at home and the kittens ( I am taking care of Kajsa, mommy's cat) were running around the house. And all of a sudden I turn around and find Kajsa sitting on the top of my doorway into the kitchen. We have like a wide molding on the top, and there she was, just hanging out. I did take a picture but its on my phone so i have not been able to get it uploaded. Anyways, this little cat is not as innocent as i first though :) Majken may play and get tangled in everything, but Kajsa jumps up on everything!

They both really like the screened in porch, so I try to get them out there as much as possible.

Layout

This is my layout that i have been working on this past week. I created this layout for a challenge by Scrapmojo. The challenge was to use lyrics by the Ditty Bops and also to doodle.
The song i chose was The Next Best Thing, and the lines: Why don't we travel with the wind... 'till our hearts begin to sing.

These photos are from when me and Mike went hiking up in New York.

And as always, here is the little kitten, who is growing by the minute!

Happy late 4th of july

Last weekend i went to visit my boyfriend Mike and his family in NY, no not NY City, but Fort Montgomery, a little place right by West Point.

Since Mike lives by the Hudson, there are a lot of mountains and pretty scenery. So on the day after 4th of July, we went hiking up one of the mountains. As soon as we got to the top it started raining so we didn't stay up there for long!

I also made a 4th of July card for mikes Family,

All the paper came from... my mother, she was nice enough to let me come home and steal some of her new paperer :-)

I will also have a layout done soon, its for a challenge and i have used the pictures from the hiking trip.

Well tomorrow I am leaving for Sweden which is going to be really exciting, since I will hopefully see my whole family!

mini album

Fist of all, sorry for the poor quality of these pictures.
I was inspired when i saw my mom's new scallop punches and decided to make a mini album and because i'm kitten crazy right now, what subject would be better than my little kitten Majken!

First i had to sandpaper the pieces so the paint would stick better, i probably painted about 4 layers on each side to make the sides really white.

The album itself is not more than about 5 centimeters and therefore i could not fit much text on the pages but is it not true that a picture says more than a 1000 words?

Last weekend me an Majken too a trip to moms house to visit the siblings (both mine and Majkens), she absolutely hates sitting in the carrier so i let her sit in m lap (Mike was driving). When we parked I let her walk around on the dashboard and she was absolutely fascinated by the birds that were flying outside. I just though she was so cute the way she was sitting and looking out the window.

Happy late midsummer and early 4th of July

Scrapbooking Kitten?

KWell today my little Majken had been running around all day and i had barely gotten to see her at all. So when i came home and put up my scrapbooknig project on the table, little Majken came over sat right on all my things, and eventually fell asleep amongst all my papers and pictures.

Kittens are just too cute!

Some more

Here are some other projects that i worked on a little while ago.

This is actually made out of a Pringles package:

I made it so i would have some organized and nice ways to store my pens in the new house.

I think i have kitten-fever:

This is what she looks like when she isn't: running hopping, biting, or playing ... always a cutie :-)

Moving, moving, and Cirque de Soleil

For graduation i got Mike tickets to Cirque de Soleil.
It was really cool and it was definitely one of my favorite shows and i would recommend seeing it if possible.

The girls that were as flexible as snakes were pretty freaky though!
Saturday and Sunday were filled with moving into my new house, which is awesome by the way. Ill post some pictures once everything is set up.
